AMATEUR

Hey!

Working for the past two months, I realized how amateur I am in this industry. Definitely have lots of things to experience and to learn.
Well, I'm just human so things just happens sometimes, so yes I did some mistakes but that doesn't stop me from the learning process. By making mistakes I learn, the lesson is that I must be extra careful in whatever that I do in future.

Back to the stuff that I did past week..
I was helping with the Girls Only shoot, usually  we will have about 3 to 4 days of shooting days in a week for one complete episode, because it depends on the host schedule. So here some pics during the shootings.
My job were doing audio and the main cam. (There were days I did audio or camera)

 Other than this, I also go for the KL TV shoot, which is only once a week. I was in charge of the cam B, which only focus on one of the host ( medium shot).

Last but not least, I did the planning for the Kaki Makan show ( finding restaurants, calling the restaurants for permission and getting the schedule done). We will be going out for shooting next week.

That's pretty much about the week.

~ W O R K ~

The post for this time will be update for the past two weeks.
So, as always I am working on the entertainment news. Then I also had to sort out the clothes for the host.
Again I was in the KL TV shoot, I took control of the  audio

After this shoot, I had to do final photo shoot with the host. Sorry there no pictures..
I also help with the research for one of the shows, Fakta Fakroll.

Next, Jom Wayang shoot again was the audio girl ^^

 By the way, I just got added with one more job which is to edit the photo shoot picture because the intern who were the editor, finish her intern so I had take over the job. Well, it is not easy to edit because I need to get the right scheme color and also the background has to be done. But, I'm trying my best to do it.

This is another shoot for KL TV in another week.  This time I got to handle the NX camera. I learn the term looking room

And I got a chance to go for this shoot, Inspirasi. It's an interview with people who are in entertainment field.
I got to meet Adibah Noor and Baki Zainal. Hmm..they were quite inspiring.

 Oh ya, I also did the meeting minutes. Finally, I help with the Girls Only Show.

So, that's a wrap up for past two weeks.

Keep Learning

This week was quite busy with the photo shoot assignment. Basically I was handling the pre-production and production part, the post production were done by the other intern. It's great that I got take lead of this assignment because I got to learn a lot of things. So, I got to take some shots during the photo shoot. Not much because I was busy.

 

Other than that, I also do my usual job find local celebrity news. I also helped with another photo shoot it is for album cover for a singer.

I went out to get confirmation from a restaurant, Chicken Lah for the Kaki Makan show. 

I also did the meeting minutes.

Then went to Girls Only Show. I were helping with audio. Below are some pictures.

Another thing which I did and it was so tiring was edit 160 pictures. Well it was sunrise time-lapse photography, so some of the pictures were over exposed and under exposed. So all the intern were given the responsibility to edit the picture. We got about 1000+ picture and we split among us. So each of us got about 300 pictures to edit. I was so busy that particular day because I also had photo shoot to do. But, I managed to edit all the pictures.

So the photo shoot was for the Chart show host.

It's my 2nd month here!!

I thought of just updating my blog two weeks once, but I just had some time so I am going to share on things that I do for the week.

So, I basically worked on the photo shoot. The other interns and and I try out on the settings as in the props and lightings, below are some pictures of it:

Then I was given task to find restaurants for one of the shows Kaki Makan. I found one at Kelana Jaya, Yum Cha Place. After that I had to call the restaurant and ask their permission to shoot. And they say Yes!
Yeah I got to handled camera and the audio again. I was in charge of the 2nd camera. Me and other intern took turns to do the shooting. Below are some pics:

By the way the host is Nadia Nash and she is really down to earth. Had fun shooting with her.

Oh ya, I alos went to Zalora to pick up the outfit for the host since I am taking care of the wardrobe.

Next I also prepared the meeting minutes, the intern all takes turn to do it.

The next shoot I went was for KL TV show in the studio and I did the audio

We had guest coming to the studio They came to promote their drama.

I will just try to go whenever there were any shoots, of course I must ask the producer first. Thus I went for Girls Only Show shoot. I help with the audio.

Last but not least, I was handling the main cam for Jom Wayang show.

Its been One Month at Homegrown Production

Seriously it's been one month, wow!! As time passes I got to learn some stuff.
Well, I will be updating the blog with the things that I do during my intern two weeks once. 

The stories of past weeks..
Well my usual job  or I would say it as my main job that I always do once I reach the office is to search on the news related to local entertainment. So these news that I find will be uploaded in the instagram, facebook and twitter page.

So, the other interns and I were assigned with new task. We need to come out with photo shoot ideas to promote the shows and the host. So all of us, we came out with ideas and presented the ideas to the creative director(CD). He liked the concept and ideas and he let us to proceed with the idea. It's exciting because I will be able to go through all the process which is pre production, production and post production.

Next, I help with Jom Wayang show twice for the audio (it is for two different episodes). This is what I learn when taking care of the audio,which is to be extra careful so that there wont be any noise from the outside. It is okay if shooting in the studio because of less sound but if outside got to stay alert.

Then again I help with the audio for KL TV, another show.
The next show that I went is Kaki Makan and finally I got a chance to shoot.
So, I used the canon 5D DSLR. It's a good experience because I don't really get the chance to do the camera stuff at college. So I'm really thankful to the whole crew who let and guide me during the shooting and also the producer who put faith on me. hehee

Finally I did research for another show known as Fakta Fakroll, basiclly I need to find out about the weird restaurant and food. So , I found this restaurant which is weird, one is New Lucky Restaurant in India and the other one is Dick's Last Resort.

The reason it is weird is because of the Dick’s Last Resort is an American restaurant chain renowned for its obnoxious waiting staff. Patrons can expect to be insulted, made fun of and put in uncomfortable situations, all in the name of fun, of course.

Yup that's it for this two weeks.

First Two Weeks at Homegrown Production

Yea!! Its been about two weeks I'm doing intern at Homegrown Production. So let me share what I have been doing so far.
Short intro of Homegrown Production -they have  their own channel known as 'ec inspirasi' in Hyyp Tv. Some of their shows are Maharaja Lawak Mega, KL TV, Jom Wayang, Girls Only Show, and many more.

Well for the first week I was assigned to find news for their  'KL TV' Instagram and Twitter. And I also get to do little bit editing on the script, which has to be in Malay.
Then, I also assigned to find news on Sports for one of the show Kebaboom. I got to do outdoor shooting for vox pop which is interviewing public people. Which is fun cause it is my first outdoor shooting experience with the crew.

Then another responsibility given to me by one of the producer,  Ms Claire which is I'm supposed to be the 'Guardian of Wardrobe'. LOL!

So then we had shoot for one of the show Lawak Sentral, it's an advertisement for CNY and
I was the cast! Hahahaha
Woah..I did not expect that..but it was fun to be able to join in the ad.And my character name is Kavitha.. So probably it should be out during the CNY.

Next, once again I was pleasured to be out for the outdoor shooting for their show 'Kaki Makan'.
So I was in charge of the audio, so I get to know of the HN4 and also the Lapel. Below are the picture of how it looks. Ps: its from the Google

Then I also got to play/learn with the DSLR. One of the Homegrown crew taught me on how to use the DSLR.  As I said the people here are really nice, so again I get free tutorial on how to edit by using the Final Cut Pro. Oh here are picture that I took during the shooting. By the way, we shoot at  Ali Muthu and Ah Hock Kopitiam.
