E-commerce is consists of buying and selling of products and
services.
There are 5 types of e-commerce
1)Business-to-business (B2B)
:-defined as
e-commerce between companies to companies
2)Consumer (B2C)
:-involves customer gathering information; purchasing
physical goods or receiveing products over
an electronic network.
3)Business-to-goverment (B2G)
:-defined as commerce between companies and the public
sector.
4)Consumer-to-consumer (C2C)
:-commerce between private individuals or consumers.
5) Mobile Commerce (m-commerce)
:-is buying and selling of good through wireless technology.
Elements of E-commerce
1)Convincing content
2)Optimal Navigation and User Low
3) User friendly checkout process
4)Customer support
5)Accessible via mobile device
Pros and Cons of E-commerce
Pros
-Faster buying/selling procedure, as well as
easy to find products.
-Buying/selling 24/7.
-More reach to customers, there is no
theoretical geographic limitations.
-No need of physical company
set-ups.
-Easy to start and manage a
business.
-Customers can easily select
products from different providers without moving around physically.
Cons
-Unable to examine products
personally
-Not everyone is connected to the
Internet
-There is the possibility of
credit card number theft
-Mechanical failures can cause
unpredictable effects on the total processes.

Early years:
-face-to-face,telephone
lines,or mail systems
-manual processing of
traditional business transactions
-individual involved in all

Todays:
-using Internet or other
network communication technology

Methods of pricing
website advertisment.
Cost
per Thousand (CPM) - marketing term referring to the cost of a media vehicle reaching
1,000 members of an audience. Advertisers pay when their message are exposed to
audience.
Cost per Click
(CPC) – Advertisers pay every time a user clicks on their ad.
Cost per Action
(CPA) – Online advertising payment model in which payment is based on
qualifying actions such as sales or registrations.
SEO (Search Engine
Optimazation)
It is the practice
to of improving and promoting website in order to increase the number of
visitors.

Internet Advertising
Today we learn about internet advertising in class.
So, online advertising can be purchased through any of these 3 ways:
1) CPM (Cost per Thosand) - Advertisers pay when their messages are expose to
audience. eg:
2) CPC (Cost per Click) - Advertisers pay every time a user clicks on their ads.
3) CPA (Cost per Action) - Advertisers only pay when a specific action is formed.
Then I also learn about SEO ( Search Engine Optimization)
SEO is communicate to the search engines of our intentions so they can recommend us
website for relevant searches.
