E-commerce is consists of buying and selling of products and
services.
There are 5 types of e-commerce
1)Business-to-business (B2B)
:-defined as
e-commerce between companies to companies
2)Consumer (B2C)
:-involves customer gathering information; purchasing
physical goods or receiveing products over
an electronic network.
3)Business-to-goverment (B2G)
:-defined as commerce between companies and the public
sector.
4)Consumer-to-consumer (C2C)
:-commerce between private individuals or consumers.
5) Mobile Commerce (m-commerce)
:-is buying and selling of good through wireless technology.

Pros and Cons of E-commerce
Pros
-Faster buying/selling procedure, as well as
easy to find products.
-Buying/selling 24/7.
-More reach to customers, there is no
theoretical geographic limitations.
-No need of physical company
set-ups.
-Easy to start and manage a
business.
-Customers can easily select
products from different providers without moving around physically.
Cons
-Unable to examine products
personally
-Not everyone is connected to the
Internet
-There is the possibility of
credit card number theft
-Mechanical failures can cause
unpredictable effects on the total processes.

years e-commerce and todays e-commerce
Early years:
-face-to-face,telephone
lines,or mail systems
-manual processing of
traditional business transactions
-individual involved in all
stages of business transactions
Todays:
-using Internet or other
network communication technology
-automated processing of
business transactions
-individual involved in all
stages of transactions
-pulls together all activities
of business transaction,marketing and
advertising as well service and
customer support.
